2019 SAS @ AAA Call for Papers

The Society for Anthropological Sciences (SAS) promotes empirical research and social science in anthropology. We encourage panels, gallery presentations, and workshops that focus on ways to advance the rigor and clarity of anthropology as one (or possibly more than one) of the natural sciences. These can be papers on theory, epistemology, methods, or the use of technologies. In most cases SAS papers have a specific substantive focus. We do not assume that “substantive” means materialistic. A large part of what our members have been concerned with has involved cognition, values, and conceptualization. We welcome presentations across all subfields of anthropology and particularly seek to collaborate with other sections similarly dedicated to clear and verifiable analysis. https://www.americananthro.org/AttendEvents/landing.aspx?ItemNumber=14722&navItemNumber=566
